  • The Running Bear Pancake House — Right next door! A classic breakfast favorite with generous portions and a cozy atmosphere.


  • The Euro Café — Our personal favorite! European-style breakfast and lunch dishes you’ll love.


  • Ernie’s Deli — Perfect for a casual breakfast — and a great place to pick up freshly made sandwiches for your day in the park.


  • Yogi’s – Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, they have amazing burgers and other tasty hot sandwiches. Located in the Conoco gas station on highway 20 right in the middle of town, they are quick and convenient!

  • The Book Peddler — A cozy bookstore café offering coffee, pastries, and light lunch options.


  • Mountain Mama’s Coffeehouse & Bakery — Grab coffee, breakfast bites, or a sandwich to take with you.


  • Bear Country Bakery — Known for their giant cinnamon rolls and tasty bakery sandwiches.

  • Madison Crossing Lounge Best place in town for dinner! Set in a historic building, Madison Crossing offers house-made Montana favorites and craft cocktails. The flat iron steak or the Chicken pasta are both local favorites and if you love a great cocktail indulge in one of their many house crafted cocktails. The huckleberry lemon-drop is as popular as they get!


  • Bullwinkle’s Saloon & Eatery— A classic spot offering hearty meals like elk ravioli, steaks, and homemade dishes.


  • TR’s Burgers & Brats — A fun, family-friendly spot serving juicy Montana burgers, creative brats, and hand-cut fries — all with a playful Theodore Roosevelt twist.


  • The Timberline Café — Relaxed and rustic, serving up local specialties and homestyle comfort food and a soup and salad bar that is perfect for the lighter fare.


  • Hank’s Chop Shop — Rustic and lively, featuring prime steaks, house-made pastas, and Montana beers.


  • The Buffalo Bar — A laid-back bar and grill with buffalo burgers, steaks, and a full bar.


  • Beartooth BBQ — Our favorite spot for some authentic BBQ! Smoky, satisfying, and casual — this spot serves ribs, brisket, and all your BBQ favorites with Montana-sized portions and a great variety of draft beers!


  • Firehole BBQ Co. — Fast, flavorful, and always packed — a local favorite for tender smoked meats and savory sides.

If you’re up for a short scenic drive, these spots outside of town are well worth the trip:


  • Serenity’s Bistro — Located right at the West Yellowstone airport, offering a cozy dining experience. 3 minute drive.


  • Café Sabor — About 30 minutes away in Island Park, serving up Mexican favorites in a rustic riverside setting.


  • The Grizzly Bar — A local favorite for hearty Steaks and American fare. A scenic 40 minute drive to a true Montana hidden gem.


  • Michelangelo’s — Located in Big Sky, MT — if you’re looking for authentic Italian food, this one is worth every mile. A scenic 50 minute drive.
